    Mission: To inspire local youth to live their best life by contributing to community-wide initiatives and other activities that directly benefit our local children.

    2018 Annual Divide Chili Cook Off

    October 31, 2018 - HayLady, Church Street (Trick or Treat street)

    For The Kids is hosting its fourth annual Chili Cook Off, Halloween night at the HayLady in Georgetown (2977 Church Street) Local businesses and individuals will compete for bragging rights to the “Best Chili on the Divide,” all proceeds benefit For The Kids. Last year the cook off raised $675, this year’s goal is $1000.

     

    Businesses and individuals who are interested in entering (or supplying a raffle prize) can email us for more information.

     

    Contestants are to supply 4-5 gallons of homemade chili and serve it at the festival. For The Kids will supply sampling cups, and spoons. Attendees to the festival can purchase a round of chili for any donation. All voters receive a four-ounce sampling of each contestant’s chili and cornbread.

     

    Winners are selected based upon the highest number of votes, and first, second and most creative will be awarded. In addition to bragging rights, winners will receive a trophy for placement at their business or home.

     

    All donations and involvement in the cook off are charitable. Proceeds from this event are used to purchase winter clothing for children in need as well as water safety initiatives.

    Second Place - Savour Catering

    Most Creative - The Divide Restaurant

    Paint/Plant Nites

    For The Kids has hosted two highly successful Paint Nites

    $15 from every ticket sold goes to our cause.

    Funds from this event are used to assist creative endeavors, such as Music Coalition and the Kids Expo.

    ALT Golf Tournament

    Details To Be Announced

    This "best ball golf" fundraiser is suitable for anyone with basic golf skills. Businesses and individuals may sponsor a hole, or donate prizes for a raffle at the end.

    More details to come.

     

    Funds from this event aim to support the 6th Grade Camp field trip.
