    Saturday May 27, 2023 - HOURS 1000-1400 (10AM to 2PM)

     

    In order to keep this event going, we need to keep it SAFE.

     

    Safety has always been the most important thing on our agenda, as the event gets bigger, so do our considerations of keeping the event safe for all to enjoy.

     

    If you are an aviator with FLY-IN questions, we hope to answer many of them below. If you are a vendor - check email for details. If you are a spectator, Michaela's phone is swamped managing all the parts of the FLY IN and she is unable to return calls from the general public asking about times for the show, address etc.

    FAQs

    Spectators - ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK - AIRPLANES HAVE RIGHT OF WAY please know that propellers and pilots often cannot see you - keep your children close, and leave your pets at home. The airport is a very large place, plan on a lot of walking (good walking shoes). Bring sunscreen/hats, etc the blacktop is often 10-20 degrees hotter than the weather report for the day. Stay hydrated.

     

    Car Parking - Only vehicles with a parking pass, hangar/airplane owners or disability placard will be allowed inside to limit the risk of accidents. Please plan to carpool with friends to the event. There is parking on the sides of Aerodrome Way, and specified lots outside the fence of the airport (close to the hangars, and closer to Spanish Dry Diggins Road, GATE E).

     

    Aviators - Use CTAF 123.05, bring tie-downs check NOTAMS, upon landing state your intention (overnight, day, fuel etc), upon clearing runway standby for progressive parking instructions. The campground is available, tie-down fees and overnight parking fee box is located next to the fuel dock. The Georgetown Airport is going to have 1000 gallons of fuel for day of, plan to come with fuel. If crossing from the campground to the event, wait in designated areas and use taped lineage.

     

    Vendors - Email is the primary form of communication for event details for vendors, Michaela's number is available for day-of emergencies. Propellers make a lot of wind, please be mindful to keep your booth and items weighted down. Markings will indicate where to go (food trucks etc), and a parking pass is required to enter the event as the inner portion of the airport will be closed to vehicular traffic for the safety of pedestrians. You must plan to load/unload during the scheduled times (check email for further instructions)
